ActionAid
ActionAid works to promote the respect of women’s rights by preventing and combating violence against women in all its forms at national, European, and global levels.Gender-based violence against women is a serious violation of human rights and takes many forms including physical, sexual, psychological, or economic suffering, threats of violence and the restriction or arbitrary deprivation of freedom. Violence against women is a structural problem common to all countries of the world and to all social groups, regardless of culture, religion, wealth, and development.
Women’s economic empowerment
Lack of or limited economic independence prevents many women to leave abusive and violent relationships. Economic empowerment programmes aims to support women survivors to gain or regain access to economic opportunities and resources including employment, services, and income.
ActionAid works to strengthen and support national institutions, anti-violence centres, NGOs, and private sector actors to promote long-term economic empowerment of women survivors of violence.
IRS
IRS is a wholly independent, non-profit cooperative founded in 1973 that offers services to both public and private clients. IRS can count on more than 40 researchers and on a wide network of consultants that guarantee the high quality of its products and services. IRS has deep knowledge and experience in gender policies at both EU level and MS level. With specific regard on violence against women, and in particular on intimate partner violence related issues, IRS can grant the capacity to analyse the presence of main challenges and gender gaps in this area as it is documented by several projects carried out both at national and EU level for EIGE, the European Commission, several national, regional and local institutions.
Women’s Centre of Karditsa – WCK
WCK is a nonprofit organization, established in 1992, to support all the women without any segregation. WCK’s main concern is the continuous operation of a network of people, executives and organizations in local, regional, national and transnational level, to provide the best and efficient services to women of the Prefecture of Karditsa. So, WCK implements as a leader or partner, European initiatives aiming to the promotion of equal opportunities, the combat of discrimination and inequalities in the labor market, the encouragement of the elimination of the occupational segregation and the combination of professional and family life, information and activation of citizens about social inequalities against women, activation and awareness regarding violence against women, adolescents and children.
Rel.Azioni Positive
Rel.Azioni Positive Social Cooperative was established in 2017 building on the 27 years long experience gained within the Association “Centro Veneto Progetti Donna”, to respond to new and different needs and challenges arising from the territory, both in term of activities and services, in the field of combating and preventing the phenomenon of male violence against women.
FACE
FACE is a Public Benefit Foundation founded in 1993 and an umbrella one since 2013. It was created by 13 companies willing to get involved in fighting all forms of exclusion. FACE is a social innovation movement engaged in preventing and struggling against all forms of exclusion, discrimination and poverty. In order to reduce inequalities, FACE works hand in hand with companies, to support more than 295 000 beneficiaries annually.
Foster social inclusion, facilitate access to rights, support people in getting back to work, prevent any kind of precarity, help companies in their CSR change management, train them to diversity and gender equality, sensitize their workers on various topics, etc. are many examples of FACE and its network’s fields of expertise that they apply with and within companies, on local territories.
Organized as a network, FACE gathers more than 5650 companies of all sizes and works in collaboration with all the stakeholders involved in its public utility mission: institutions, associations, researchers, experts, etc.
Center for Sustainable Communities Development, Bulgaria
Center for Sustainable Communities Development is an advocacy group for promotion of gender equality in all spheres of the private and social life in Bulgaria, Europe and globally. In May 2020 Center for Sustainable Communities Development will celebrate 25-th Anniversary of its Court registration! The main spheres of work are: Development Education and ODA policy; Economic Rights of Women; Political Empowerment of Women; Media and its Role for Overcoming Gender Stereotypes; Roma Women Empowerment; Domestic Violence. The team is organizing capacity building trainings on Gender Mainstreaming for people from the national and local administration, NGOs, Trade Unions, political parties, and media; executed different researches; organize information and education campaigns. Since June 2005 year Center for Sustainable Communities Development has been an Associate member of the National Council on Gender Equality to the Council of Ministries of Bulgaria.
